Far East
Known as the Four Asian Tigers, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea were the First newly industrialized countries. Recognized by their high growth rates and rapid industrialization between the early 1960s and 1990s, they have a highly educated and skilled workforce all specialized where they had a competitive advantage.
It is no surprise that the traffic from these four countries to Rotterdam is massive, as it is one of the main container ports in Europe. FPS Famous Pacific Shipping B.V. handles LCL containers from these destinations on a weekly basis. But Singapore, Busan and Kaohsiung are only some of the origins of our import containers from the Far East.
In Taiwan itself, there are two more ports where we have groupage services from, namely Keelung and Taichung. Both on a weekly, direct basis giving us the possibility to offer 3 origin ports throughout Taiwan to our clients.
It doesn’t stop there, however, as FPS offers a much wider variety of services.
Containers are imported from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as well, where our own offices and agents consolidate weekly containers. With our import services from Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Manila, Jakarta and Port Kelang all of the main regions in the Far East are covered.
